AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada
Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami was born in September 1,1896 in Calcutta,India.He was a great devotee of the lord since childhood.He met his spiritual master His Divine Gace Bhaktisiddantha Sarasvate Thakur in 1922.It was then he told Srila Prabhupada to broadcast vedic knowledge all over the world.In 1933,Srila Prabhupada became his formally initiated disciple.In 1950 he retired from worldly duties and took up vanaprastha and started writing commentaries on various books.After taking up sannyasa in 1959,he set out to preach vedic knowledge to the world and in 1965 he started the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.Today,thanks to Srila Prabhupada,we have the answers to the biggest questions of life like those mentioned in my blog discription.
